Ham and Cheese Waffle

In an ongoing attempt to 1. Not make my house hot by using the oven and 2. Use this spiral ham for summer recipes, I decided to jump on the trend of using a waffle iron for things. It stemmed from an article that came across my Facebook feed months ago. I wanted to figure out how to make a Ham and Cheese Sandwich in a waffle.

Like all my recipes, I never know if they are going to turn out or not until I actually attempt them. This one I am particularly happy we filmed for the YouTube Channel because I was really not sure what was happening or if it would even turn out and what happened during the making was a bit hilarious. See it HERE.

In the end, with a lesson or two learned, we had a delicious success with this recipe. It is hammy and cheesy and easy to eat in waffle form. It can be for breakfast or lunch depending on your mood and what you decide to top it with — Walter liked it with syrup, I liked it with mayonnaise. What will you like on it?
