Deviled Ham

I know what you are thinking. I’d be thinking it too. I actually was thinking it when I was making this. I thought, “Steve, what he hell are you doing making deviled ham as a recipe for Oinkcooking? This is not going to end well!” I committed to it though. I even made the video to share of me making it! I sifted through at least 20 recipes for deviled ham. They all seemed the same. The ones that weren’t the same sounded gross! I finally found inspiration from Bon Appetite’s site with this recipe. It sounded quite good.

The next step was to not feel like a 70’s house wife preparing to host a Tupperware party by making these. I really did feel like I needed a ruffly apron and a kitchen bursting with yellow and avocado green appliances to make this. I had to stop my insanity and just do it. See how I made them HERE. Honestly, it turned out pretty good. I even served it to a dinner guest that night and he liked it. So I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I did notice that the longer I was in the refrigerator the better it tasted. I think the flavors needed to meld together. If you are daring, try it. If you are not daring, but like ham, try it!
